Well hello there, welcome to a new look e-programme.com.
Why all the changes, or lack of ?
e-programme.com has been around for over 10 years, way before blogging and social networking. In fact, all you had to do to increase your Google rankings was to draw a 1 x 1 pixel graphic and add lots of tags, or write lots of crap in the same colour as the background. Those days are gone, but we still rank high amongst most search engines.
e-programme.com originated from a company called Hydra Development Limited, a small software firm who developed some very clever software called Hydra. This they termed Programme Management Software. Its then Managing Director, Geoff Reiss, a well known and prominent project management guru, and a member of the APM, formed ProgM – The Programme Management Specific Interest Group (SIG). e-programme.com was used to house all the information related to ProgM, (once Hydra purchased their own domain name) – newsletters, bulletins, papers, meetings and membership sign up.
The site management and design, for many years was run by two employees of Hydra Development. Upon leaving the company, the domain was passed to them. They continued to support the site and ProgM until it was no longer cost effective to do so. ProgM contributed to hosting for a couple of years until recently they decided to fold back into the umbrella of the Association of Project Management Specific Interest Groups. The site as it was no longer served the purpose in which it had grown into.
We therefore decided to strip away the technical php, mysql stuff and produce a simple to use Blog.
Where it will go from here we don’t know. It’s up to you – the Programme Management Community.
We would like it to be a place where people came to post news about programme management events, software updates, training courses, book reviews etc.
We have created a a few blog categories for this purpose.
There are NO membership requirements to reply to posts. If you wish to register in order to post your own blog entries please let us know.
